Same Picture, Different Moods

These two pictures are the same one, but when editing it I could not decide if I wanted to keep the color in it, or take some of it out, and either way I did it the mood of the picture changed drastically, ask yourself what your feeling when you look at each of the photos, and I bet that they are two completely different feelings!

The Eyes Have it

These pictures portray eyes that are turning into a smile. Yes, I know, only a mouth can really smile, but they eyes can show a smile too. The angle, the black and white, and the cropping of these photos make it kind of neat and mysterious in a way, that is why I like them.

That.. Does not belong. Juxta Position Assignment

So my on the farm along with our cows we raise chickens and gather their eggs! We just got a couple new chicks this last week, and my siblings are obsessed with them. Mysteriously they ended up in the bathtub, and obviously chicks just do not belong in the bathtub, and that is why I took this picture as my juxta position assignment.

Parasailing

This picture I did not take, my mom did, I just did a tad bit of editing on it. However, my Aunt and I went parasailing in the Bahamas, and was it a blast! I would recommend it to everyone! I really like this picture because of the colors and the angle and the contrast in it!




































Parasailing was one of the most fun things I did while in Nassau! The man driving the boat was a "Bahaman" man, and we had asked him if he had ever gone parasailing before, and he answered, "No way! This is a crazy white man's sport!" and we all laughed! This was definitely the high light of my week in the Bahamas!

Bahama Trip, Nassau

Me along with other members from my family went on a girls trip to the Bahamas, and Oh my goodness, what a fun time! These are some of the pictures that turned out nice and that I would like to share with you! 

The view of the islands and the ocean and the big blue sky from the plane window! It was an amazing view.

  We had gone downtown to the market, and the streets were very colorful and the architecture in some buildings was unique as well! I enjoyed seeing them.

 The trees and plants in Nassau were so pretty, bright and unique! I had to capture some of them and share them with you guys!

Feather "x-ray"

 There was an feather stuck in the ice in my yard, and the original pictures were not really anything special at all, and the only aspect of it that I actually liked was the texture and neatness of the feather itself. So I decided I would only show the actual feather. I upped the exposure and and contrast, and took all the saturation out of it. I also flipped the bottom two to make them more interesting.

Leaf textures

I keep forgetting to bring my memory card in to download my new pictures! So I was left looking through the older pictures of mine, and I came across this one, I cropped it right to the edges of the leaf to take out other distracting things of it, and I also had rotated it 90. I really played with editing the contrast, tones and lighting of it, and after a little while this is what turned out!

I like this picture because we all know it is a leaf, but why does it look kind of distorted or colored like that? There are some questions that go along with it, and I think that is what I like.

Mood Setter

I don't know why I like this picture so much, but I finally decided to share it with you. I was on my way home one night and was crossing this bridge and I thought, hmmm... let's take a picture of this, so I stood next to the front of the truck and put the camera on the hood and pressed the shutter! It's got a very scary mood and feeling to it, and mysterious as well, and I think that is why I like it so much.

This picture of mine, I rotated it and boosted the contrast up in the colored one and also in the B&W, I like how it turned out.

Weekend

Depth of Field

I myself mostly use low depth of field in my photography, and capture textures and such. The following three pictures are examples of low, medium, and high depth of field.

 There was a decaying leaf folded of a stick that was sticking out of the fresh snow we had gotten, and the low depth of field really captures the unique, scary looking texture of the leaf.

My cute relatives sitting on a rock at my uncles cabin drinking hot coco I believe was best captured with a medium depth of field, so that they would be in focus, but yet the background a little blurry.

Obviously this picture has a large depth of field, everything in the picture is sharp and is a sort of landscape, so it works out well.
