About Me

My photo
Since I got into photography I've loved it, and it's like everything I see now is a picture, I can see it in my head. Capturing nature is wonderful, seeing the little things that usually are not even noticed, like the bark on a tree or the texture of a leaf. Photography really shows how beautiful things are in nature. I love taking portraits to tell stories and capture expressions, emotions and personalities of people. I would love to go to college for photography, and get a degree in business management. Im going to make a great attempt at chasing my dream job: my own photography business. Portraits, like I said, are my favorite subjects to make pictures with, and if I pursued photography I would like to do weddings, baby pictures, senior pictures ect. Well all of these photos were taken by me, therefore it would be illegal to take them, manipulate them ect., so please don't. Thank you.

Story Photo

So I ran out of things to do in class so my teacher is having me bring up an older picture and tell a story about it.
So the story behind this picture.... Well I thought it would be cool to cut down a Christmas tree for my family.  So I brought the ax and started hackin'.  I swung and swung... and swung some more.  I was so tired that I decided to give up.  The next day I went out there and decided to take my camera along.  I was walking through the woods ax in hand, along with my camera and finally came to the tree that is beating me in our little battle we got going on.  I saw that there was a spider stuck in the sap that had started dripping.  I thought this was an awesome picture.  So after I was so happy that I got a good picture, there was still business to do.  I went at it again,  ending up just as tired as yesterday, but getting the job done.  I throw it up into the back of the truck and hauled it up to the house.  Pretty proud of myself I carried it in the house, and stood it up in our living room... About 3 feet of the top of the tree was bent over on the ceiling.  TO BIG!?!?  so we had to either chop of the bottom or the top.  Well there was no way that I was going to even try to cut that trunk again! So I took the easy, not so pretty way out.  We ended up with flat top tree... beautiful.  But hey I got this picture out of the whole situation... right?

First Press Shots (wrestling)

I along with a friend in class (Brooke) are now working for our local press taking pictures.  I went out to take pictures at our towns wrestling meet. The Second and Third actually were published.  I had so much fun!  First of all, I now have a press pass, so FREE PASS! Second of all I love sports and it was fun to watch and take the photos.  I am exited to continue on and try out new events and get more experience.

'Lain

This one turned out kind of blurry but I still like it, the color in it is so soft and has kind of a somber mood to it.
'Lain was in the bathroom looking out the window and laughing and I was outside and thought it would be a neat picture. She is so funny.

Getting the Christmas Tree

"Fooling around with the camera" portraits

I was "fooling around with the camera" this weekend and was reflecting the flash of the camera back onto my face and taking the picture in the mirror.  My favorite is this first one.

Textures of the weekend

These first two is the outside wall of our grain bin that is getting old.  I love the darkness to it and the unpatterned lines in it.
Now this is cool, but kind of gross, not pretty but unique.  We have big barn fans outside our barn, and the icicles turn brown because the air in the barn is dirty and dusty, so the fan is blowing out dust and making the icicles nasty.  I like it.

I loved walking around this weekend and seeing all the cool patterns of the snow,  I took a whole bunch but only posted a few, the ones I liked the best.  In the two I had to get the wire in there because It stands out and gives the photo another subject.

Colors of the weekend

I love this picture because of the colors.  We were getting a christmas tree and decided to get a brand new tree stand (that we didn't even need... but hey "it's only ten dollars!!!")  and that just made Abby's day, so I had her look through it.
I thought this was worth taking a picture of when I saw it.  The reason this track is red is because we are filling up the grain bins with corn, and the outer part of the corn shells fly all over, and it is cool how it gathered inside of the track.  It makes it more unique.

This last one, I strummed the guitar and made sure the shutter would be slower, and it turned out pretty cool because of the strings, and the color of my blue wall in the background, and purple mirror make it colorful.

It's A small world

Finally.... I got this assignment in.  This was made with help from my mom, taking the picture of me, and I just photoshopped it, it was pretty simple, took me about 5 minutes and here it is.  I like it because  I am small and it take a little bit to realize that I am not a real barbie.

Up Nort Hey (December 11-12)

This weekend I went to a family Christmas up North and go some awesome picture opportunities. After the landscapes and such are some portraits that I also took this weekend.
The River wasn't totally frozen yet and I think that is what makes this picture even better.  I gives it more shades of gray and also creates a leading line.

It was about 7:30 in the morning and I was still sleeping when my mom comes and wakes me up saying, "hey there is an eagle outside!" so it didn't take me long to get out there and try to find it. They are so beautiful.

Pictures from last spring

These are pictures that I found that I took last spring photography class, these are my favorites anyways, I just thought that I would share them with you.

Winter Wonderland

These are some more pictures of winter, I like the top one because of the birds in the sun, and the warm mysterious feeling of it is cool.  And the bottom one I like because it only shows one little part of the icicle, a good picture for coldness.
