About Me
- Alyssa
- Since I got into photography I've loved it, and it's like everything I see now is a picture, I can see it in my head. Capturing nature is wonderful, seeing the little things that usually are not even noticed, like the bark on a tree or the texture of a leaf. Photography really shows how beautiful things are in nature. I love taking portraits to tell stories and capture expressions, emotions and personalities of people. I would love to go to college for photography, and get a degree in business management. Im going to make a great attempt at chasing my dream job: my own photography business. Portraits, like I said, are my favorite subjects to make pictures with, and if I pursued photography I would like to do weddings, baby pictures, senior pictures ect. Well all of these photos were taken by me, therefore it would be illegal to take them, manipulate them ect., so please don't. Thank you.

A self portrait
Well I think this is a good self portrait of me, not necessarily because I play the drums, but because it shows that I am a goof, I like to mess around an act goofy and have fun, so I think this is a good picture to show that. The shutter was kind of shhhllooow, so the drum stick I was tossing up blurred, so that I think adds to it and makes it a cool picture.
Portrait Assignment
I was really excited for this assignment, but...... I procrastinated and wasn't really happy with the portraits I got, I really wanted to do something different, thats why I did this bottom one. I like it because only someone that knows country living would understand this photo. The second one of the man is okay, because you don't really know what he is thinking. The top one is nice but I have done things like it before, but I will keep taking portraits and finding new, different ways to take them.

Just some winter shots.
These are just two pictures that I took the other morning. I really like both of them, I like the top one because the grass is blurred because it was really windy out, but some of it is still, and the yellow color is nice. I like the bottom one because the ice made different shapes, and when you first look at it you might not even know what it is right away.

One Cold Morning
This shot really explains the morning, it was really cold and it was a bad morning for me. I like it because the sun in this picture is so small, and the frost on the grass, and the trees, and fog in the picture give it the sad, gloomy mood.

Forest and Sky
These are some of the pictures that I took for someone. I went to her house and brought a car load of supplies, basket, boxes, blankets etc., and I maybe took a half-hour to forty-five minutes. I am pretty happy with the way that they turned out, they are a little noisy because of the lack of lighting, but otherwise I think that they are okay.
Open Theme Shooting
This one is my favorite out of all these open theme pictures because it repeats itself, like the spindle things are in the picture multiple times, and the two wires curving in the picture twice and the two dark poles in the picture also, I really like it.
This one and the one below this are kind of scary in a way, the calf's eyes are very unique and have a mysterious look to them, and the trees below are kind of scary too. For that one I noticed every time I would focus on the sky, (setting B&W) the trees would look different, so I focused on the sky and then pointed to the trees and the camera is still focused on the sky in a way, and then I quickly spun the camera, and came up with this picture I made.
These two pictures of the sand-hill cranes I like to name them Chaos because if you notice the birds are not gracefully flying in there arrows, they are flying in different directions! This maybe because I scared them so they would fly away, but they came right back any ways.
For this open theme I just walked around the farm throughout the day and even had some models!

Landscapes and sunsets
These pictures are just landscapes that I found in my folder and gathered them together. My favorite is the first on because of the colors. The dark blue and the yellowish swamp grass and the vertical white trees.
Cd assignment
The CD cover and back I made was from a photo of a tree, the back was the same tree, but I used multiple images of it and morphed it to make it look cool, and I just selected parts of the branches and painted them purple, and same with the back I just did yellow. The genre I did was Christian Rock, so the songs I made up and the Artist I made up and the songs sound like they would be Christian Rock songs.
