About Me

My photo
Since I got into photography I've loved it, and it's like everything I see now is a picture, I can see it in my head. Capturing nature is wonderful, seeing the little things that usually are not even noticed, like the bark on a tree or the texture of a leaf. Photography really shows how beautiful things are in nature. I love taking portraits to tell stories and capture expressions, emotions and personalities of people. I would love to go to college for photography, and get a degree in business management. Im going to make a great attempt at chasing my dream job: my own photography business. Portraits, like I said, are my favorite subjects to make pictures with, and if I pursued photography I would like to do weddings, baby pictures, senior pictures ect. Well all of these photos were taken by me, therefore it would be illegal to take them, manipulate them ect., so please don't. Thank you.

Randoms

This weekend I had some very random shots, from chickens, a piano, and kids! I was pleased with a few of them, and I would like to share them with you!

                                                                                   Shutter: 1/64
                                                                                             Aperture: f/4.0

                                                                                                        Focal Length: 15mm

These two pictures of the chicken above, I could not decide if I wanted to keep it in color of if I wanted to make it B&W! I decided on both! It was actually kind of funny, the chicken kept turning away from me and turning its head, and I was shouting "HEY! HEY!" "CHICKEN!" and finally I got a good shot of it! I bet if someone was watching me they would have thought I was very desperate to get a great shot at this chicken!

All these pictures above, are of our chickens! We have about 19 chickens that lay eggs, and I think that is really fun and cool! I tried to capture the texture of the feathers of the chickens, and I really think that the last one did a good job at that!

The Piano here is a very very old piano from my great grandma Anita. The piano has been just sitting around and collecting dust for years! I really like the "old" feeling of it!

We have a flag out in our yard, and I have never taken a picture like this, and I'm very impressed with this! The sky was beautiful blue, and I upped the contrast so that the flag colors really popped! I also like the lines in the picture, which is the pole and the strings! It adds definition to it!

For days my brother Gabe has been asking and begging to make ginger bread cookies for some weird reason! When he finished mixing the dough, he tasted the dough and said, "That doesn't taste good at all!" that was the highlight of my weekend! As he was working on cutting out the cookies I thought it was a good photo-op so I took my chance and ended up with a good image I think! I could see this picture being in a cooking magazine or a ginger bread cookie recipe!

This picture I enjoy a lot, I took a few focusing on the child, then I started focusing on the old metal high chair, the chair has this rustic old texture to it and I found it very cool looking! I had nice window light coming in, giving me a nice soft look to the picture as well. I also really like the colors in the picture.

These Black and Whites here I like, but they are not very interesting, they don't really stand out in my mind as unique, but I do think that they are nice pictures. Showing off my obsession with B&W images!

This picture above is my lil' baby, I love to play guitar and I find all guitars very beautiful! I was just fooling around and taking pictures of it and this one ended up being my favorite. The repeating lines in the image really give it character and the repeating circles do the same! I also think that the contrast in the dark brown color and the light yellowish color make the picture even better!

Back Into Advanced Photography!!

It has been way to long since I have posted any pictures on my blog! I am now back into another semester of Advanced Photography, and I am super excited! Not only can I blow the dust of the camera, but also I will be posting regularly on my blog!

This is my first post of the semester, only one picture however. I took actually took this on my phone because I had forgot my camera, and surprisingly it turned out very neat! We were up north ice fishing with family and my sisters were "exploring" the surroundings while we were there and I found it as an awesome photo-op! I edited it in iphoto, changing it to B&W, of course, my favorite... I was pulled back and forth while editing it on if I wanted to make the trees more blacked out, or if I wanted the "busy" kind of look to it. I upped the shadows and decided on this, to make it look real busy. I choose to do that because it really makes a  contrast with the smooth, plain, white snow!
